L'Haute Route - Classic High Level Mountain Hike
Join us on the Haute Route. Beginning in Chamonix and ending in Zermatt; this high-level alpine hike is a classic and magnificent hut-to-hut journey of the Alps.
It can be taken on as a 7 – 10 day itinerary depending on the dynamics of the group. The haute route traverses up to 20 glaciers, contours along the foot of a string of alpine giants, dips briefly into Italy and takes advantage of the hearty hospitality provided by a handful of alpine refuges. It is an adventurous journey on challenging hiking terrain that includes marked trails, glacier, moraine and short passages of via ferratta, suitable for experienced walkers with a solid fitness level.
En Plein Air - Mountain Painting
Three days of exploring and painting from some of our favourite mountain landscape locations. We offer trips around Fafleralp, Switzerland and the Mont Blanc Massif. With a preference for train access, after a short hike along marked trails with portable equipment we set up our easel in high alpine pastures - majestic alpine peaks unravelling before us.
Martin’s depth of experience in the mountains from 20 years of combined guiding, recreational mountaineering and passion for painting; lend him an eye for finding the perfect perspective to capture vista’s with the medium of your choice. There is no goal for these sessions beyond the shared experience of enjoying the beauty of the mountains and the opportunities presented by the blank canvas.
Lötschental / Berner Oberland Hike
Walking in the Lötschental Fafleralp area on the edge of the Berner Oberland combines hiking through carpeted meadows, picturesque pastoral villages and high mountain glaciers with the great peaks – the Eiger, the Jungfrau and the Monch making their presence known in the distance.
The Lötschental was virtually isolated from the outside world for centuries and has preserved many of its old customs and ways of life. So too, the mountains have a sense of wildness. Large tracts of the Lötschental area are protected by UNESCO World Heritage status. This visually dynamic, six-day hut to hut mountain walk is for experienced hikers with a solid fitness level.
